Meet the Founder and Restorer Carlo Wloch. He has worked in this business since he was 14 years old and never stopped. At some point he found his own business and spends every day at the grave yard making people's last wishes come true.
Carlo has lost a lot of people in his life.
Including his parents, his wife and his brother.
He says death is part of life.
You can’t avoid it.
Nevertheless, he thinks a proper and respectful funeral is very important. In the cemetery where he has worked all his life, the peace of the dead has been disturbed several times. When he was very young, he caught 13-year-old boys shooting at the grave of a fallen soldier from the First World War with a blank pistol. That is absolutely terrible for him, he simply cannot understand how you can not honor a resting place. He has had several cats and dogs in his life that he loved very much and always suffered a great loss when they died. Carlo says he doesn’t want to experience that again in his life. All of his animals were given a lavish and wonderful funeral - even with Bible prayers.
Carlo is now 76 years old, retired, but still continues his work to stay fit. He makes each gravestone from scratch and always takes his customers‘ wishes into account.
